6.6/10

My stay at the Polis Grand Hotel was quite pleasant overall. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, especially when I requested gluten-free options for breakfast. However, while I enjoyed the rooftop bar's stunning views, the breakfast could have offered fresher vegetable options. The location proved convenient for exploring Athens, yet the surrounding area could feel a bit run down at times.

Rooms
8.0
I found the room comfortable with a king-sized bed and good lighting. though it was a bit noisy due to its proximity to the restaurant entrance.
Service

The staff were incredibly helpful, from the receptionists to the concierge. their attention to detail in responding to my needs was admirable.
Location

Located centrally, the hotel allowed easy access to public transport and major attractions. although the surrounding area had its share of challenges.

The breakfast buffet was extensive and varied, catering well to different dietary needs. yet I would have appreciated fresher options like vegetables.

The rooftop bar was a highlight, offering great drinks and impressive views. I just wished it stayed open a bit later to enjoy the nightlife.

5.2/10

I had a mixed experience at the Polis Grand Hotel. On the positive side, the staff were super friendly and helped with everything I needed, from arranging breakfast for my early flight to providing recommendations for local spots. The breakfast options were plentiful, and the rooftop view was simply stunning, especially at night. However, the room itself was a bit cramped, lacking proper storage and with an awkward layout, which was disappointing. Also, the neighborhood felt a bit rough around the edges during the day, which put me off a little.

Rooms
6.0
The room was small and had a few layout issues, like limited storage and a cramped shower. I was hoping for a bit more space to breathe.
Service
9.0
The service here was great! Everyone from check-in to the cleaning staff was friendly and really eager to help with anything I needed.
Location
6.0
While the hotel is close to the metro and not far from Plaka, the immediate area isn't the prettiest, which was a letdown during my stay.
Dining
9.0
Breakfast was a highlight! There was a great variety and everything was fresh. The rooftop restaurant boasted gorgeous views that added to the dining experience.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel had decent facilities, with clean rooms and a rooftop bar that I unfortunately didn't get to use, but everything else was well-maintained.

5.6/10

My stay at Polis Grand Hotel had its highs and lows. The location was convenient, just a block from Omonia subway station, making it easy to explore Athens. However, the condition of the room was concerning; it felt worn and the bathroom had a persistent unpleasant odor. Overall, while the breakfast was impressive and staff were mostly friendly, the hotel's facilities need significant attention.

Rooms
6.0
My room was quite small and showed signs of wear, with some furniture damaged. The bathroom was even tinier, and an unpleasant smell lingered throughout my stay. Although the bed was comfortable, I expected better conditions for a four-star hotel.
Service
7.0
Most of the staff were friendly and accommodating. They allowed me to check in early and stored my luggage. However, the check-in process felt a bit cold, lacking the warm welcome I hoped for.
Location
6.0
The hotel's location near Omonia metro station is a plus, but the area around it felt a bit rough, especially at night. I was cautious while walking back, as there were some unsavory elements nearby.
Dining
8.0
Breakfast was a highlight for me, offering a wide variety of options. However, I did encounter some dirty dishes that detracted from the experience. Despite that, the quality and selection were noteworthy.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel facilities were subpar for a four-star rating. The elevators were extremely small, and I felt the overall maintenance of the space could use improvement. I also didn't receive the breakfast to-go I expected when leaving early.

6.4/10

My stay at Polis Grand Hotel was a mixed bag. While the location is perfect for exploring Athens, offering easy access to major sights like the Acropolis and Plaka, the noise level in my room was quite disruptive. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast spread was impressive, featuring a variety of delicious options. However, the lack of effective soundproofing made it hard to get a good night's sleep, especially with the street noise and other guests' conversations echoing through the walls.

Rooms
6.0
The room was clean and had a comfortable bed, but the noise was overwhelming, making sleep difficult.
Service
8.0
I found the staff to be incredibly friendly and attentive, going out of their way to assist with recommendations and requests.

The hotel offered good amenities, and the rooftop restaurant had stunning views that enhanced my dining experience.

6.2/10

My stay at Polis Grand Hotel was comfortable, but it fell short of the 4-star expectations I had anticipated. The rooftop terrace offered stunning views of the Acropolis, particularly at night, which was a highlight. However, I was disappointed by the small room I was initially assigned and the less-than-friendly service at check-in. Breakfast was a treat with a variety of options, but I did encounter some issues with the staff's attentiveness during dining hours.

Rooms
6.0
The first room I received was quite small, though it was clean and comfortable overall. I appreciated the mini-fridge and the air conditioning, which worked well. Having a balcony with a view of the Acropolis was a nice touch.
Service
5.0
The staff were not particularly warm or inviting during check-in, and service in the rooftop restaurant was inconsistent. On a couple of occasions, it felt like I was neglected, especially during breakfast when I had to leave without being served.
Location
7.0
The hotel's location was convenient, right near the Omonia subway station and within walking distance to major tourist attractions like the Acropolis and Plaka. However, the surrounding area had a run-down feel, and I didn’t feel very safe after dark.
Dining
7.0
The breakfast buffet was impressive, with a diverse selection of Greek and international dishes. Dining on the rooftop was a pleasant experience, especially with the beautiful views, but service could definitely improve.
Facilities
6.0
Basic amenities were provided, including a small lift and Wi-Fi that worked well. Despite the small size of the lift, I did find the overall cleanliness of the hotel satisfactory.
